Victorian homes often included beautiful strolling peacocks in their spacious gardens. Their feathers were gathered up and used in winter floral arrangements that graced the homes. Peacock feathers have returned to Burchell's White Hill Farmhouse Inn and have been combined with Pears and Pear Trees in adaptation of the first verse in the "Twelve Days of Christmas Carol."

Last year over 500 guests visited Farmhouse Inn in December. They toured the Farmhouse decked out for Christmas. Some rode on the horse-drawn hayrack ride provided by Dale Johnson. Some pulled taffy or made pop corn balls. They attended parties, Victorian Teas, and an arts and crafts show. They enjoyed the Christmas music provided by Mike Adams..

Guests keep asking where the White Hill is located. Well, thanks to a heavy snow last year, we really did have a White Hill. It was a lot of fun for children of all ages.
